What Are The Possible Drug Interactions of Voren?

  1. Other NSAIDs: Concurrent use of multiple NSAIDs, including Voren, can increase the risk of gastrointestinal side effects and complications.
  2. Anticoagulants/Antiplatelet Drugs: Voren can enhance the effects of anticoagulants (blood thinners) such as warfarin, as well as antiplatelet drugs like aspirin, which can increase the risk of bleeding.
  3. Corticosteroids: Combining Voren with corticosteroids, such as prednisone, may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding and ulcer formation.
  4. Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs) and Serotonin-Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitors (SNRIs): Concurrent use of diclofenac with these antidepressant medications can increase the risk of bleeding, particularly in the gastrointestinal tract.
  5. ACE Inhibitors and Angiotensin II Receptor Blockers (ARBs): These drugs, commonly used to treat high blood pressure and heart conditions, may have their blood pressure-lowering effects reduced when taken with Voren.
  6. Diuretics (Water Pills): Combining Voren with diuretics may reduce the effectiveness of diuretics and potentially lead to an increase in blood pressure.
  7. Methotrexate: Voren can increase the blood levels of methotrexate, a medication used to treat certain autoimmune diseases and cancers, potentially leading to toxic effects.
  8. Lithium: Diclofenac can increase the levels of lithium in the blood, which may lead to lithium toxicity.
  9. Cyclosporine and Tacrolimus: These immunosuppressant drugs used in organ transplantation can have their blood levels increased when taken with Voren, potentially leading to kidney problems.
  10. Digoxin: Voren can increase the levels of digoxin in the blood, which can lead to digoxin toxicity.
  11. Antidiabetic Medications: Voren may affect blood sugar levels and interact with antidiabetic medications, potentially requiring adjustments in diabetes management.
  12. Quinolone Antibiotics: There have been reports of an increased risk of seizures when Voren is taken with quinolone antibiotics, such as ciprofloxacin.
  13. Phenytoin: Voren can increase the levels of phenytoin in the blood, potentially leading to phenytoin toxicity.
  14. CYP2C9 Inhibitors and Inducers: Voren is metabolized by the CYP2C9 enzyme. Drugs that inhibit or induce this enzyme may affect the levels of diclofenac sodium in the blood.
