Cebosh Tablet Uses

Cebosh tablet is primarily used to treat bacterial infections caused by susceptible strains of microorganisms. It is an antibiotic belonging to the class of drugs known as cephalosporins. Following are some common uses of Cebosh Tablets:

1. Respiratory Tract Infections: Cebosh tablet is commonly used to treat respiratory tract, ear, throat, urinary tract, and skin infections caused by certain bacteria.

Although, Cebosh is an effective and safe drug still has some contraindications, in such people should not use this drug.

The use of Cebosh should be avoided in people with known allergies to cephalosporins or penicillin antibiotics, as well as those with kidney failure or an active infection caused by bacteria resistant to this medication. Pregnant women should only take this medication if specifically instructed by their doctor since there is limited data regarding the safety of its use during pregnancy.

For Adults and Children 12 Years and Over: The dose is 400mg (1 Tablet) once a day or in 2 divided doses.

For Children 6 Months to 12 Years: The dose is based on body weight, the usual dose is 8mg per kg of body weight in a day, taken as a single dose or in 2 divided doses (4mg per kg of body weight every 12 hours).

For Children up to 6 Months of Age: Use and dose must be determined by a pediatrician.

Cebosh is an antibiotic that belongs to a cell wall synthesis inhibitor. It works by binding to specific penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) located inside the bacterial cell wall. Resultantly, it inhibits the process of bacterial cell wall synthesis.
