Leflox Side Effects

Leflox is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections, including pneumonia, bronchitis, sinus infections, and urinary tract infections. It is a powerful antibiotic, but it can also cause a number of side effects.

Leflox Tablet : 250mg, 500mg, and 750mg Strengths

Leflox Injection : 5mg/1ml, and 500mg/100ml

• Antacids: Taking Leflox with antacids that contain aluminum or magnesium can reduce the absorption of Leflox and make it less effective. It is best to take Leflox at least 2 hours before or after taking an antacid.
• Blood thinners: Leflox can increase the risk of bleeding when taken with blood thinners such as warfarin. If you are taking a blood thinner, your doctor may need to monitor your blood clotting levels more closely while you are taking Leflox.
• Diabetes medications: Leflox can interfere with the way your body metabolizes sugar, which can lead to changes in your blood sugar levels. If you have diabetes, it is important to monitor your blood sugar levels closely while taking Leflox.
• Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs): Taking Leflox with NSAIDs such as ibuprofen or aspirin can increase the risk of tendon problems.
• Other antibiotics: Leflox can interact with other antibiotics, such as ciprofloxacin or moxifloxacin. This interaction can increase the risk of side effects such as tendon problems and seizures.
• Theophylline: Leflox can increase the levels of theophylline in your blood, which can lead to side effects such as nausea, vomiting, and seizures.
