Seradep tablets have specific contraindications, which are situations or conditions in which the medication should not be used due to potential harm or ineffectiveness.

1. Hypersensitivity: Individuals who have had a previous allergic reaction or hypersensitivity to Escitalopram or any of its components should not take Seradep tablet.
2. Concomitant Use with MAOIs (Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors): Seradep tablet should not be used within 14 days of discontinuing treatment with a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) due to the risk of serotonin syndrome. Likewise, MAOIs should not be initiated within 14 days of stopping the Seradep tablet.
3. Linezolid and Methylene Blue: These are examples of MAOIs and should not be used concurrently with the Seradep tablet.
4. Pimozide: Concomitant use of Seradep tablet with pimozide is contraindicated, as it may lead to prolongation of the QT interval, which can be dangerous.
5. Serotonergic Agents: Seradep tablet should be used with caution or avoided in combination with other serotonergic agents like triptans (used for migraines), tramadol, and St. John’s Wort, as it may increase the risk of serotonin syndrome.
