Desora Tablet Uses

Desora tablet is an antihistamine medication that is used to treat allergic symptoms. It belongs to a class of drugs known as second-generation antihistamines. Following are some common and off-label uses of Desora tablets:

Common Uses of Desora Tablet

1. Allergic Rhinitis: Desora tablet is commonly used for the treatment of allergic rhinitis, including seasonal allergies (hay fever) and perennial allergies. 2. Desora Tablet : 5mg strength.

Desora Syrup : 0.5mg/ml strength.

Although Desora is generally safe and well-tolerated, there are some contraindications that should be considered before taking this medication. People who have an allergy to Desora or any other component of the drug should not take it.

Dosage of Desora Tablet:

Dosage of Desora Syrup:

For Adults and Children (12 years and over): 2 teaspoonfuls (5mg in 10ml) daily.

For Children (6 to 11 years): 1 teaspoonful (2.5mg in 5ml) daily.

For Children (4 to 5 years): 0.5 teaspoonful (1.25mg in 2.5ml) daily.

For Children (Under 4 years) and Infants: Desora is not recommended.

Desora is a tricyclic H₁ inverse agonist and highly selective peripheral H1 receptor antagonist. It works by blocking the action of histamine, a chemical released by cells in our bodies during an allergic reaction.
