Duride Tablets

Duride is a combination of frusemide as loop diuretic and amiloride hydrochloride as mild diuretic with potassium sparing properties. Frusemide is a potent diuretic with rapid action and in combination with amiloride, conserve potassium in those at risk from hypokalemia.

Each tablet contains:
Frusemide B.P. ………………. 40 mg
Amiloride Hydrochloride B.P… 5 mg

Duride is indicated where diuresis is required and where magnesium and potassium conservation is important e.g., in fluid retention due to cardiac, hepatic, or renal disorders and in hypertension.

Dosage and Administration

Depending on the severity of clinical condition, up to two tablets of Duride may be administered daily, preferably in the morning. In view of the possible risk of hyperkalemia in impaired renal function, such as in the elderly, the dosage should be adjusted according to the renal function, blood electrolytes, and diuretic response.
