Description

Tirlor is chemically Loratadine, a potent and long acting anti­histamine with selective peripheral H1 - receptor antagonist activity.

Pharmacokinetics

Loratadine is well absorbed and extensively metabolized. It reaches measurable levels in plasma within. 15 minutes and peak levels are achieved within 1 hour after single oral dose, while its elimination half-life is 18-24 hours. It can be given with or without food> since food does not affect the pharmacokinetics of Loratadine.

Indications

Tirlor tablets are indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis such as sneezing, nasal discharge (rhinorrhea), itching, ocular itching and burning, chronic urticaria and other dermatological conditions associated with allergy.

Dosage

Adults and children above 12 years:
Tirlor (Loratadine 10 mg) 1 tablet daily
