Adverse Reactions of Afloxan
Rarely transient nausea,constipation, epigastric pain and headache.
Drug Interactions
Afloxan does not interact with oral anticoagulant, antihypertensive, cardiac glycoside and oral hypo-glycemic agents. However, the patients receiving such treatments should be monitored while on Afloxan.
Contarindications
- Patients allergic or hypersensitive to indolacetic acid derivatives
- Last weeks of pregnancy (as all prostaglandin inhibitors)
Warnings
The administration of Afloxan to patients with active or recurrent gastroduodenal ulcers should be done under medical monitoring.
As all drugs, Afloxan should be administered to pregnant or breastĀfeeding women only when necessary and under medical monitoring.
Clinical information on the paediatric use are not yet available. The administration of AFLOXAN to children should be done under medical control, at doses reduced according to the body weight.
Patients with renal failure and disorders of the central nervous system should be carefuliy monitored while on Afloxan.
