Klaricid Tablet Uses

Klaricid tablet is an antibiotic used to treat various types of infections caused by bacteria. It is a prescription medication that belongs to the macrolide class of antibiotics. Klaricid tablets are commonly used for the following indications:

Dosage based on Body Weight (kg) and Age:

For Children below the age of 12 years: Klaricid suspension is generally preferable for children.

1 to 2 years with body weight 8 to 11 kg the dose is 2.5ml (0.5 spoonful).

3 to 6 years with body weight of 12 to 19 kg the dose is 5ml (1 spoonful).

7 to 9 years with body weight of 20-29 kg the dose is 7.5ml (1.5 spoonful).

10 to 12 years with body weight of 30 to 40 kg the dose is 10ml (2 spoonful).

Klaricid belongs to macrolide antibiotics, and it works by inhibiting the protein synthesis of bacteria by binding to ribosome subunit 50s.
